ENSITIZATION AND TRAINING OF STAKEHOLDERS ON CAMEROONIAN STANDARDS NC 1816 AND NC 1817 RELATING TO THE TEXTILE SECTOR
The Standards and Quality Agency, after Yaoundé on August 08, 2019, held a sensitization and stakeholder training seminar on Cameroonian standards NC 1816 and NC 1817 relating to loincloth and linen on Thursday, August 22, 2019 in Douala.
During the works, the Standards and Quality Agency was intended to inform different actors intervening on the entire local production line, import or sale of textile products, not only on the requirements of Cameroonian standards NC 1816 and NC 1817 now made mandatory, but also on the due date of Conformity Certificates set for September 24, 2019.
The number of participants from all sides of the public, private and civil society, as well as the quality of the discussions reflected the success and interest given to sensitization.
At the end of the seminar, it will be possible to keep the urgent need to sensitize nationally to encourage actors in the sector and consumers of textile products to appropriate these standards.
