Support by SGS within the pre-shipment Evaluationof Conformity (PECAE) Framework

Within the framework of the Pre-Shipment Evaluation of Conformity Programme (PECAE) of good imported on Cameroon Territory.

The Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR) benefits from the support of Société Generale de Surveillance (SGS) in terms of training and know-how.

Thus, from Tuesday, July 31st to Friday, August 3rd, staff of ANOR participated in a capacity building workshop at Hotel AZUR in Bastos, Yaounde on the following themes:

• Quality Infrastructure;
• WTO Technical Barriers to Trade;
• Certification of Products;
• Multilateral Recognition Arrangements;

During the (four ) days of training given by Mr. Gerardo Panopio, Technical Director of Conformity Assessment of Products/SGS, the participants worked with great interest and exemplary diligence to further consolidate their knowledge in the field of standardization and quality.

The different themes addressed allowed the participants to be better equipped not only in relation to their general knowledge, but also and above all on how to make Cameroonians better understand the missions assigned to ANOR.

It was on a note of general satisfaction that the trainings were completed, giving the staff a new apprehension and daily conduct of their tasks and responsibilities.
