Mirror Committee on Food Products - MCFP takes stock of 2017 activities

It was in the conference room of Tou'ngou Hotel in Yaoundé on April 3, 2018 that proceedings took place.

For this session, the proceeding was chaired by Mr. Kangue Koum Henri, representative of the Ministry of Public Health, President of the Mirror Committee on Food Products (MCFP) in Cameroon. The main purpose was to take stock of the activities of 2017 year and to draw up an action plan for the activities to be carried out for 2018 financial year.

At the end of the rich and constructive session, participants agreed mutually to become more involved in the examination of International and Regional Standards Projects on the one hand, and to work for the implication of their structures in the mobilization of resources likely to guarantee the achievement of the objectives contained in the action plan 2018 on the other hand.

Pesticides and related products - Technical Committee no 59 (TC 59) has a new elected bureau

Its members took office since March 20, 2018. The elective assembly was presided over by Mr. Kegueni Paul Claude Aimé, Acting Chief of Service for the development of standards in agricultural domain and food technologies in the Department of Standards and representing the General Manager of ANOR.

Here is the composition of the newly elected bureau :

  • Mr. Fosso Christian, Representative of Société FIMEX International S.A;

  1. Mr. Ayangma Célestin, Representative of la Société ABOSS – AFRIQUE;
  2. Mrs. DjuissiI Seutchueng Nadine Yolande, Representative of Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation (MINRESI);
  3. M. Kamseu Kamgang Delor Magellan, Representative of the league of cameroonian Consumers (LCC);

Technical Advisers:

  • Mr. Fomban William Gana, Representative of la Société des Hydrocarbures – Analyses et Contrôles (HYDRAC);
  • Dr. Ekorong à MOUTE Joseph, Representative of Bureau d’Etudes, de Recherches, Assistance et Services (BERAS) ;
  • Mr. Fouajio Kemkeng Roméo, Representative of the Ministry of Mines, Industry and technological Development (MINMIDT);

Standards works - Standards and Quality Agency launches a selection campaign for Experts

ANOR hereby launches a selection campaign for experts in prelude to effective start of Technical Committee no 37 (TC 37) works. This committee is in charge of developing, adoption and revision of standards in the field of metallurgy, iron and steel and metalworking.

The said experts has the duty of studying and/or drafting future Cameroon Standards in specified sector mentioned above for review by the Technical Committee.

For this purpose, an application form is available (link) and will be submitted to the assessment of an Expert Selection Committee. This duly completed, signed and dated form should be returned to the Department of Standards (address or link) no later than Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 3:30 pm.

The complete application file consists of the following:

  • An application form duly completed, dated and signed;
  • A certified copy of the required diploma (s);
  • Proof of experience (work certificates, service certificates, etc.);
  • A taxpayer card;
  • A medical certificate.

This selection process of experts does not in any way imply recruitment within the Agency.

Technical Committee no 47 (TC 47) on Tobacco and Tobacco Products - An Elective General Assembly

At the end of the session coordinated by Ms. Nathalie Noah, Director of Standards representing the General Manager of Standards and Quality Agency whose busy schedule did not permit him to attain, the following were elected members of the Bureau of the Technical Committee on Tobacco and Tobacco Products, April 10, 2018:

President:

  • Mr. Mekinda Sylvain, representative of la société Vina Tabac Oriental Cameroun Company (VOCC) LTD.

Vice Presidents:

  1. The representative of the Ministry of Trade (MINCOMMERCE).
  2. Mr.  Kamseu Kamgang Delor Magellan, Representative of the league of Cameroonian consumers (LCC).

Technical Advisers:

  • Mr. Awono Pascal Magloire, Representative of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE);
  • Mr. Woumke Joseph, Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER);
  • Mr. Fouajio Roméo, Representative of the Ministry of Mines, Industries and Technological Development (MINMIDT);
  • Mr. Effala Laurent, Representative of the Ministry of Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development;
  • Mr. Bataki Michael, Representative of the Directorate General of Taxation – Ministry of Finance (DGD/MINFI);
  • The representative of British American Tobacco Cameroon (BAT Cameroon).

Technical Committee TC 32: Lubricant, Grease and Derivatives - Publication of Bureau Members

They were elected on April 12, 2018 in Yaoundé. Ms. Noah Nathalie, Director of Standards, represented the General Manager of ANOR.

The constituted bureau is as follows:

Vice Presidents:

  1. Mr.  Mayaki Blaise, President of Cameroon Consumers Association of Energy, Water, related products, environmental protection (ACCEAPE) ;

  3. Mrs.  Manewa Sandra, representative of TRADEX Oil Company.

Technologies and food products - The bureau members of TC no 48 made public

The members of the bureau of Technical Committee on technology and food products were elected since March 13, 2018. The session was chaired by Mr. Kegueni Paul Claude Aimé, Acting Chief of service for Standards Development in Agriculture and Food Technology - Department of Standards. He represented the General Manager of ANOR.

At the end of the election procedure, the newly elected bureau by consensus is made up of:

  • Mr. Mornadji Félix, Representative of Cameroon’s brewery company (la Société Anonyme des Brasseries du Cameroun (SABC));

Vice Presidents:

  1. Mrs. Djuissi Seutchueng Nadine Yolande, Representative of the Ministry of scientific research and Innovation (MINRESI);

At the close of the session, the elected President advocated a global approach for the common interests in order to bring sanity in food products sector. He requested on members to be the ambassadors of ANOR in their respective structures.
